The Taurus Raging Hunter 500 S&W is a 10-inch double-action revolver built for hunters and handgun enthusiasts who demand raw power and practical features in a magnum platform. Model 2500105RH pairs the punishing ballistics of 500 S&W Magnum with a 5-round cylinder and a design that acknowledges what shooting big bore revolvers actually feels like in the field—delivering recoil management through cushioned black rubber grips and a barrel length that gives you sight radius and control.

If you're hunting at distance with a handgun or running magnum loads for backcountry defense, ergonomics matter as much as velocity. The Raging Hunter's grip incorporates a cushion insert specifically engineered to absorb the heavy recoil signature of 500 S&W, and the double-action/single-action trigger mechanism gives you flexibility to shoot deliberate single-action rounds or work the trigger in double-action mode. Adjustable rear sights and a fixed front sight come standard, so you can dial in your hunting zero without aftermarket work.

The integrated Picatinny rail opens up modern accessory mounting—optics, lights, or laser systems attach directly to the revolver, letting you configure the gun to your hunting setup or nighttime use. Whether you're pursuing heavy game, competing in hunting matches, or simply want a powerful revolver that doesn't cut corners on handling, the Raging Hunter 500 is a legitimate choice in the limited world of 500 S&W revolvers.
