Taurus
The Taurus G3 9mm pistol is a full-size striker-fired handgun built for shooters who want reliable performance without the premium price tag. Whether you're training at the range, carrying for personal defense, or looking for a no-nonsense duty-style option, the G3 delivers a straightforward feature set in a capable platform. Its full-size frame, 4-inch stainless steel barrel, and 17-round magazine capacity make it a practical choice for those who value capacity and ergonomics in an everyday carry or sport shooting role.
The G3 is built around a striker-firing system with a re-strike capability, meaning you can pull the trigger again if a round fails to fire without manually cycling the slide—a feature that adds a margin of safety in critical moments. The gun includes a loaded chamber indicator so you can quickly verify a round is ready, and a manual safety for traditional-minded shooters. Three independent safeties (trigger safety, striker block, and manual safety) keep the gun secure until you're ready to shoot.
Ergonomics matter on a duty-sized gun, and Taurus included generous grip stippling patches and an ergonomic palm swell to help you maintain control and consistency. The steel alloy slide wears a matte black Tenifer finish for durability, while the polymer frame keeps overall weight at a manageable 24.83 ounces. Sights are straightforward: a fixed white dot front sight paired with a steel rear sight that's serrated and drift-adjustable for zeroing. A Picatinny rail lets you mount a light, laser, or other accessories without proprietary adapters. The package ships with two 17-round magazines, giving you practical capacity out of the box.
If you're after a full-size 9mm with reliable fundamentals, good ergonomics, and a generous magazine capacity, the Taurus G3 earns a serious look.
