Taurus
The Taurus 1-58149 58 is a compact .380 ACP pistol built for shooters who need reliable firepower in a package that works for everyday carry and range sessions alike. At just 32 ounces with a 4-inch barrel, this DA/SA hammer-fired pistol balances controllability with shootability—light enough to pocket carry without printing, substantial enough to shoot straight when it counts. The 15+1 capacity gives you serious round count for a single-stack design, and the matte stainless steel slide and barrel resist corrosion without the glare of polished finishes.
Build quality centers on proven materials: a stainless steel slide and barrel paired with a beavertail aluminum frame that tames recoil and gives your hand a solid purchase. The black polymer grip texture stays secure even when palms get sweaty, and the serrated slide top keeps your sight picture locked in during presentations and transitions. Sights are straightforward—integrated front and drift-adjustable rear—so you get usable geometry without complex adjustments out of the box.
This is a workhorse for concealed carry or a solid backup gun for range training. The .380 ACP round is mild enough for most shooters to manage recoil but potent enough to earn respect as a defensive caliber. Whether you're testing different carry methods at the range or running it as your daily EDC, the 58 doesn't overthink the mission.

Yes. At 32 ounces with a 4-inch barrel and compact profile, the 58 is purpose-built for EDC. The matte stainless finish and black polymer grip reduce reflectivity and snag points, and the DA/SA trigger gives you hammer-down safety and instant single-action control. Many carry it in an inside-the-waistband holster without discomfort or printing.
The 58 ships with an integrated front sight and drift-adjustable rear sight. The rear can be adjusted for windage without tools, making it easy to dial in your zero at the range or adjust for different ammunition.
The Taurus 58 holds 15 rounds in the magazine, plus 1 in the chamber, for a total capacity of 15+1.
The beavertail is a curved extension at the rear of the frame that fills the gap between the backstrap and your palm when you grip the pistol. It reduces felt recoil, improves control, and helps prevent slide bite—especially useful in a .380 ACP designed for high-round-count training.
