The Tactical Solutions Owyhee SBX Takedown in .22 WMR is a bolt-action rifle engineered for hunters and shooters who refuse to compromise between power, accuracy, and portability. Built on a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver with a stainless steel bolt, this takedown rifle folds down compact enough to pack into a backpack or bug-out bag—all while tipping the scales at just 4.4 lbs. The .22 WMR cartridge delivers magnum-level velocity and energy in a platform light enough to carry all day, making it ideal for backcountry hunting, overlanding trips, or anyone who needs serious capability in a minimal footprint.
The 16.62" barrel is fluted and threaded (1/2 x 28) with a barrel shroud that manages recoil while maintaining the compact profile. A 1-in-14 twist rate stabilizes .22 WMR ammunition reliably, and the chromoly steel bore is crowned for consistent accuracy. The folding takedown receiver and Magpul Backpacker stock let you collapse the rifle to pack size without tools. The 10-round rotary magazine feeds smoothly, and the extended magazine release keeps reloads intuitive even in cold conditions or with gloves on.
Because this is a bolt-action, you get the accuracy and reliability of a manual-feed system without worrying about cycling issues or heavy fouling that plagues semi-automatics in harsh field conditions. Whether you're taking longer shots or just need a trustworthy rifle that won't let you down at elevation or in cold, the Owyhee SBX Takedown handles both with the dependability hunters and overlanders count on.
