TacFire
The TacFire TL008 lower receiver vise block is a polymer work-holding solution designed to safely secure your .223/5.56 AR-pattern lower receiver during assembly, maintenance, and gunsmithing tasks. Whether you're building your first rifle, performing routine maintenance, or doing detailed work on the fire control group, a quality vise block prevents the kind of damage that can happen when you clamp a receiver directly in a metal vise. The TL008 mounts securely by inserting into the magazine well from either the top or bottom, giving you stable, repeatable positioning without marring or distorting your lower.
Built from durable polymer, this block is lightweight enough for bench work but rigid enough to hold steady during drilling, tapping, trigger work, or reassembly. The polymer construction also means it won't scratch your receiver finish or transfer the harsh clamping forces that metal blocks can. For hobbyist builders and gunsmiths who care about keeping their lowers in pristine condition, the TacFire vise block is a straightforward, no-nonsense way to protect your work.
The black finish blends in at the workbench and resists cosmetic wear from regular use. If you're building multiple rifles or doing periodic maintenance on your collection, having a dedicated lower receiver vise block eliminates the improvisation and risk that comes with clamping aluminum directly. It's the kind of small investment that pays for itself the first time it prevents a costly mistake.
Yes, the TacFire TL008 is designed for .223/5.56 AR-pattern lower receivers. It mounts by inserting into the magazine well.
The block inserts into your lower receiver's magazine well from either the top or bottom, then you clamp the vise block itself in your bench vise. This holds your receiver securely without direct clamping pressure on the aluminum.
No. The polymer construction is designed to grip your receiver safely without marring the finish or causing distortion, unlike metal blocks or direct clamping.
The TacFire TL008 is ideal for assembly, disassembly, maintenance, fire control group work, and other gunsmithing tasks where you need safe, hands-free positioning of your lower receiver.
