TacFire
The TacFire MAR093 AR-15 dust cover is a straightforward, no-frills protection upgrade for your rifle's charging handle and bolt carrier group. Built from black steel, this dust cover seals off the top of your receiver when the rifle is not in use or between shooting sessions, keeping carbon fouling, moisture, and field debris out of the critical moving parts where reliability matters most. Whether you're a competition shooter, hunter, or tactical enthusiast, a functional dust cover is one of the cheapest insurance policies you can buy for your AR-platform rifle.
The MAR093 is designed to fit standard AR-15 platforms and installs without special tools or gunsmithing. It pivots open during use—you won't notice it when the rifle is running—and closes securely when you're done. Black steel construction means it'll develop a patina over time and handling, adding character while resisting light surface rust if you maintain it like any steel part. This is the kind of accessory that doesn't demand attention; it just sits there doing its job, session after session.
If you run your AR hard, this is a practical addition. If your rifle spends time bouncing around a truck bed, sits in a safe for months between hunting seasons, or sees dust-heavy environments, a dust cover pays dividends in keeping your bolt carrier clean and dry. It's not a tactical statement—it's a maintenance tool that's been standard issue on military rifles for good reason.
The TacFire MAR093 is designed for standard AR-15 platforms. If you're unsure whether your build qualifies, contact our team with your specific receiver details and we'll confirm compatibility.
No. The MAR093's pivoting design allows it to open freely during operation. You won't need to remove or adjust it once installed and in use.
A dust cover seals the top of your receiver when the rifle is not firing, blocking carbon fouling, dirt, sand, moisture, and other contaminants from entering the bolt carrier group and charging handle. This keeps your rifle cleaner between shoots and helps maintain reliability in dusty or wet conditions.
