TacFire
The TacFire MAR039 castle nut is a critical component for any AR-15 builder or armorer. This black steel locking nut secures your buffer tube to the receiver, ensuring a rock-solid connection that won't shift or loosen during shooting. Whether you're assembling a new rifle, upgrading an existing build, or performing maintenance, a quality castle nut is essential hardware that's easy to overlook—until you need it.
Castle nuts are designed to work with standard AR-15 buffer tubes and receivers chambered in .223/5.56. The TacFire version delivers straightforward, reliable performance at a price that won't break the bank. It's the kind of foundational part that separates a properly built rifle from a range queen that requires constant tweaking.
Installation is straightforward with the right tools—a castle nut wrench makes the job quick and ensures you can achieve proper torque without over-tightening. Once locked down, your buffer tube stays put, which means consistent cycling, reliable function, and peace of mind that a critical connection isn't gradually coming loose at the range or in the field.

The castle nut threads onto the buffer tube and locks it securely to the receiver. This connection is essential for proper cycling and function—a loose buffer tube can cause reliability issues and unsafe operation.
The TacFire MAR039 is compatible with standard AR-15 buffer tubes and receivers. If you're replacing an existing nut, verify that your buffer tube and receiver use standard AR-15 threading and dimensions.
