Swift Bullet
Swift A-Frame rifle bullets in 6.5mm (.264") are engineered for hunters who demand deep penetration and reliable performance on game ranging from varmints to big game. The 140-grain A-Frame design delivers the controlled expansion and weight retention that have made Swift's bonded bullets a standard in the reloading community for over two decades. Each box contains 50 bullets ready for your custom loads.
The A-Frame's semi-spitzer profile is designed to feed reliably through magazine systems without deforming under recoil impact—a practical advantage for hunting rifles where you might need a follow-up shot. The progressively tapered jacket controls expansion across a wide velocity range, so whether you're shooting at moderate range or pushing velocity, the bullet performs consistently. The pure lead core is bonded to the jacket using Swift's proprietary process, creating a unified bullet that resists separation under stress.
What sets the A-Frame apart is its internal geometry: a cross-member positioned to optimize expansion diameter for the 6.5mm caliber, combined with a protected rear core that maintains momentum for deep penetration. The thick copper jacket locks the rear core in place, preventing deformation and ensuring weight retention that exceeds 95 percent. This architecture delivers the 2.2x controlled expansion hunters rely on when a single well-placed shot needs to count.
| Caliber | 6.5mm |
| Bullet Diameter | .264" |
| Weight | 140 grains |
| Bullet Type | A-Frame Bonded |
| Nose Profile | Semi-Spitzer |
| Count Per Box | 50 bullets |
Swift A-Frames are designed as an all-purpose hunting bullet. The 140-grain 6.5mm with its controlled expansion and deep penetration is suitable for a wide range of game sizes. The 2.2x controlled expansion and 95%+ weight retention provide the balance of bullet upset and momentum needed across different hunting scenarios.
The progressively tapered jacket is specifically engineered to control the rate of expansion over a wide velocity range. This design allows the bullet to perform reliably whether you're shooting at moderate velocities or pushing higher loads, without over-expanding or under-performing.
Yes. The semi-spitzer nose profile of the A-Frame is designed to withstand recoil impact in the magazine without deforming, ensuring reliable feeding through standard magazine systems.
The A-Frame achieves 95%+ weight retention. The thick jacket locks the bonded core in place, preventing separation and deformation, so you retain the momentum and penetration needed for effective terminal performance.
