Swift Bullet
The Swift A-Frame Heavy rifle bullet in .500 caliber (.509" diameter, 535 grains) is engineered for hunters pursuing the largest game where deep penetration and reliable performance matter most. Built on Swift's proven A-Frame construction, this bonded-core design delivers the combination of controlled expansion and weight retention that separates premium hunting ammunition from commodity rounds. Whether you're hand-loading for a .500 Nitro Express, .500 Jeffery, or similar big-bore magnum, the A-Frame's mechanical accuracy and terminal performance give you the confidence to make ethical, one-shot kills on dangerous game.
Swift's A-Frame geometry uses a cross-member copper jacket with a soft, semi-Spitzer nose profile that initiates expansion predictably across a wide velocity range while the tapered jacket walls govern the rate of that expansion. The result is a bullet that expands reliably without fragmenting, maintaining approximately 95 percent of its original weight through the target. The wraparound jacket base resists deformation during feeding and chambering—important on rifles with tight magazine tolerances—while the bonded lead core prevents jacket/core separation under the extreme forces of heavy game impact. This is a hand-loader's bullet: uncoated, straightforward, and built to perform.
The 535-grain weight sits at the heavy end of the A-Frame line, trading some velocity for maximum momentum and deeper penetration in thick-hided, heavily-boned game. Each box contains 50 bullets, enough for serious hunting season prep or dedicated load development. If you've invested in a large-caliber rifle and demand terminal ballistics you can trust, the Swift A-Frame delivers the proven track record that earned it respect across generations of dangerous game hunters.
| Caliber | .500 |
| Diameter | .509" |
| Weight | 535 grains |
| Bullet Style | A-Frame (bonded core) |
| Quantity | 50 per box |
The .509" diameter and 535-grain weight are appropriate for large-caliber cartridges like the .500 Nitro Express and .500 Jeffery. Always verify chamber dimensions and twist rate with your rifle manufacturer or a competent gunsmith before loading any ammunition.
Swift bonds the lead core directly to the copper jacket, preventing the jacket and core from separating on impact. The cross-member design and tapered jacket walls control expansion without causing fragmentation, so the bullet holds together and penetrates deeply.
Yes. These are component bullets for reloaders; they are not loaded ammunition. You will need to hand-load them using appropriate powder, primers, and cartridge cases for your specific rifle and intended hunting application.
Each box contains 50 loose Swift A-Frame bullets, .500 caliber, .509" diameter, 535 grains.
