The Swift A-Frame Heavy .458 rifle bullet is built for big-game hunters and handloaders pursuing dangerous game and maximum stopping power. Each 450-grain .458-caliber bullet combines Swift's proven A-Frame construction—a bonded-core design with a distinctive cross-member copper jacket—to deliver the deep, reliable penetration and controlled expansion that separates premium hunting ammunition from ordinary components. Whether you're reloading for a .458 Win Mag, .458 Lott, or other .458-caliber magnum, these bullets are engineered to perform across a wide range of velocities without failing.

The A-Frame design achieves three critical performance metrics: controlled expansion that doesn't fragment prematurely, approximately 95 percent weight retention through heavy bone and muscle, and consistent deep penetration necessary for ethical, one-shot kills on large, tough game. The soft semi-spitzer nose initiates expansion predictably, while the tapered jacket and pure lead core work together to regulate how aggressively the bullet opens. The wraparound jacket at the base preserves core integrity and maintains momentum downrange—essential when hunting at distance or through heavy cover.

This is an uncoated bullet, so if you're hand-loading for speed, precision, or volume, you're getting straightforward, no-nonsense components. Swift A-Frames have a reputation earned through decades of field use, and the 450-grain weight is built for the velocity and energy envelope of serious .458 magnums. Each box contains 50 bullets, so you have room to develop a load, test at the range, and hunt with confidence. Pair these with quality brass, a reliable magnum primer, and appropriate powder, and you've got a handload capable of taking anything in North America.
