The SureFire XH30 MasterFire is a dual-output mounted light built for shooters who need serious illumination without the bulk. This 1,000/300-lumen white light mounts directly to Picatinny and Weaver rails found on most tactical pistols, carbines, and shotguns. The XH30 is purpose-built to pair with SureFire's MasterFire holster system, where the light activates automatically during the draw—a feature that gives you immediate target identification and weapon-mounted lighting from the moment you present. Two output levels mean you can dial in the right brightness for the situation: crank to 1,000 lumens for maximum reach and target identification, or step down to 300 lumens for closer work or to preserve night vision in confined spaces.

The optical design uses Total Internal Reflection to shape the beam efficiently, throwing light out to 213 meters while maintaining useful spill for your peripheral field. The aluminum body is mil-spec hard anodized and o-ring sealed against water and dust—this is a light that won't quit if you're running it hard or in harsh conditions. Ambidextrous switches give you one-finger control from either hand, and the recoil-proof LED is engineered to handle the punishment of centerfire pistol and rifle recoil without degradation.

Whether you're training with a duty gun, running a home-defense setup, or outfitting a rifle for low-light hunting or tactical work, the XH30 delivers the durability and performance you expect from SureFire. It's straightforward, reliable, and ready for the job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the XH30 fit my pistol?

The XH30 mounts to any railed pistol, rifle, or shotgun with standard Picatinny or Weaver rails. It's most commonly used on tactical and duty pistols with rail systems. For a seamless integrated setup with automatic light activation, it pairs with the SureFire MasterFire Rapid Deploy Holster.

Can I use this light for hunting?

Yes. The XH30 is well-suited for mounted light use on hunting rifles and shotguns. The 1,000-lumen output and 213-meter beam range provide excellent target identification in low-light conditions. The dual-output design lets you adjust brightness based on distance and environment.

What's the difference between 1,000 and 300 lumens, and when would I use each?

1,000 lumens delivers maximum reach and intensity, ideal for scanning long distances or identifying threats in darkness. 300 lumens is sufficient for closer work, home-defense spaces, and situations where reduced output helps preserve night vision. The ambidextrous switch lets you toggle between them with one hand.

How durable is this light for field use?

The XH30 is built to withstand centerfire recoil and harsh conditions. The mil-spec hard anodized aluminum body, o-ring seals, and gasket sealing provide weather and dust resistance. The recoil-proof LED is engineered for reliable operation in demanding environments without special maintenance.
