Strike Industries
The Strike Industries Ultimate Dust Cover AR-UDC-E-Flag is a purpose-built replacement dust cover for your AR-15 that goes beyond the basic polymer caps found on most rifles. Unlike the flimsy factory cover on your receiver, this one is engineered to actually stay where you put it and keep crud out of your action when you need it most—whether you're on the range, in the field, or moving between hunting positions.
What sets this dust cover apart is its adjustable detent mechanism. As your receiver wears over time, the fit and spring tension of your factory cover degrade, and it either hangs loose or snaps shut at the wrong moment. Strike Industries built in a small adjustment screw that lets you fine-tune the opening resistance, compensating for wear and ensuring the cover operates exactly how you want it. It's a small detail that makes a real difference on a rifle you actually shoot.
The high-density polymer construction is tougher and more reliable than traditional materials, resisting impacts and UV degradation better than weaker alternatives. The "Flag" designation indicates this version features distinctive styling, giving you the option to personalize your rifle's look while upgrading its functionality. Whether you're building a precision setup or refreshing an existing AR, this is a dust cover that earns its place on your rifle.

Yes, the Strike Industries Ultimate Dust Cover is designed for standard AR-15 platform receivers in .223/5.56 NATO. It replaces your factory dust cover directly.
Use a small flathead screwdriver to access the detent adjustment screw. Depress the ball detent while turning the screw to increase or decrease the opening resistance to your preference.
The dust cover replaces your factory cover using the same pivot pin and attachment point on your receiver. Installation requires no special tools.
As your rifle's receiver wears, the fit of a fixed dust cover becomes looser or tighter. An adjustable detent lets you maintain consistent operation throughout your rifle's life, keeping the cover closed when needed and opening smoothly when you're shooting.
