Strike Industries
The Strike Industries Viper Carbine Length Handguard is a lightweight, modular forend built for AR-platform rifles where you want a balance of shootability and accessory versatility. Finished in FDE (Flat Dark Earth) with black polymer inserts, it delivers rugged aesthetics that work across tactical, hunting, and recreational shooting setups. Carbine-length handguards sit closer to the receiver than mid-length or rifle-length options, making them a natural choice for short-barreled rifles, pistol-caliber carbines, and standard 16-inch patrol or hunting builds where you don't need maximum rail real estate.
Strike Industries' Viper line emphasizes ergonomics and durability without unnecessary weight. The polymer construction keeps your AR agile, while the black inserts provide texture and visual contrast against the FDE base. Whether you're upgrading a duty rifle, building a hunting carbine, or setting up a range gun, this handguard gives you a clean, functional platform for mounting lights, lasers, or other tactical accessories.
The Viper's modular design means you can customize it to your specific mission—keep it minimal for hunting or load it out for tactical work. It's a straightforward, dependable upgrade for shooters who want something tougher than mil-spec plastic but don't need the complexity or cost of full aluminum systems.
The Strike Industries Viper Carbine Length Handguard is designed for AR-platform rifles. It is a carbine-length forend, so it's best suited for 16-inch barrel rifles, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), and other builds using carbine-length or shorter gas systems.
We don't have specifics on whether this model features a free-float design. Contact us directly if barrel harmonics and accuracy consistency are critical to your build.
The modular design supports tactical accessories like lights and lasers. Specific rail sections and mounting options depend on the handguard's rail layout. Verify your accessory's mount compatibility before purchase.
No. This is a carbine-length handguard designed for shorter barrel lengths. For rifle-length builds, you'll need a rifle-length or mid-length forend.
