Strike King
The Strike King Tour Grade Football Jig in 3/4oz Candy Craw is a purpose-built deepwater bass jig designed to excel on hard bottom and open lake structure. Football jigs earn their name from their distinctive football-shaped head, which creates a stable, compact footprint that stands upright on the lake floor—perfect for maintaining contact and triggering strikes from bass holding deep. This particular model pairs that proven design with the Candy Craw color, a proven pattern that mimics crawfish in natural light conditions.
Tour Grade football jigs are built for anglers who spend time chasing suspended and bottom-hugging bass in deeper water. The wide head design gives you feedback through your rod as it moves across bottom structure, and the flat eye line tie keeps your knot and lure in the optimal position for solid hooksets. That matters when you're fishing 20-plus feet down and working toward a decisive connection.
You're getting quality components here: a premium Gamakatsu hook with a 60-degree round bend that's sharp out of the box, durable powder-coat finish designed to hold up against rocks and timber, and a color-coordinated weedguard to deflect snags without sacrificing hookup rate. The skirt is tied with a lifelike action that doesn't require a ton of rod work to produce—let the jig do the talking on the bottom.

Football jigs excel in deepwater and on hard bottom like rocks, gravel, and clay. The football-shaped head hugs the bottom, gives excellent feel, and stands upright to keep your bait visible to bass. They're ideal for reservoir fishing, deep channel work, and anywhere bass suspend near structure in deeper water.
Football jigs are known for drawing larger bass. The 3/4oz weight and proven Candy Craw color attract quality fish, though like any lure, success depends on water conditions, season, and how you fish it.
The weedguard is designed to deflect light cover without sacrificing hooksets. The sharp Gamakatsu hook and flat eye tie work together to drive the point home on the strike—the weedguard just keeps you from snagging heavy timber and rocks.
