Strike King
The Strike King Red Eye Shad 3/4oz Orange Craw is a lipless crankbait built for bass anglers who want a compact, versatile lure that works in shallow cover, open water, and everything in between. At three-quarters of an ounce, this lipless crankbait casts clean and reaches productive depths quickly—ideal for targeting bass around vegetation, rocky structure, and ledges. The orange craw color mimics natural forage and shows up well in stained water, making it a solid choice for spring and fall fishing or cloudy conditions.
What sets the Red Eye Shad apart is its ability to generate reaction strikes through a combination of tight, energetic vibration and internal sound. The lure features free-floating internal rattles that produce a distinct cadence on the fall and during the retrieve, drawing fish from a distance. The premium-grade hooks are sharp out of the box and engineered to stick even on brief, aggressive strikes—critical when you're fishing lipless crankbaits in heavy cover where you get one shot per cast.
The Red Eye Shad has earned its reputation on the pro tournament circuit because it delivers consistent results across a wide range of conditions and bass species. Fish it on a steady retrieve for a hunting presentation, pause it to let the internal rattles do the talking on the fall, or rip it through grass and off stumps to trigger reaction bites. The 3/4oz size makes it user-friendly on light to medium-power spinning and baitcasting gear, so it's accessible whether you're throwing from a kayak, wading, or working from a boat.
The orange craw finish is a proven color for clear to moderately stained water, and the 3D eyes add visual appeal that keeps fish committed once they're locked in. This is a go-to lipless crankbait for serious bass anglers who fish creeks, lakes, and reservoirs—and it's earned its reputation the hard way, through wins and consistent performance.

This lipless crankbait excels in shallow to intermediate depths around structure like vegetation, rocks, ledges, and timber. It's effective for spring and fall fishing, works well in stained water, and produces in both clear and low-light conditions. Use it to search water quickly or to trigger reaction strikes in heavy cover.
The 3/4oz weight is comfortable on light to medium-power spinning and baitcasting setups. Match it with appropriately rated rods and reels for the best casting distance and lure control, especially if you're working it in cover or on a tight line during the fall.
The Red Eye Shad features free-floating internal rattles that produce sound and vibration during the retrieve and, notably, on the fall. This gives the lure an extra dimension of attraction—fish can hear it coming and also detect it as it sinks, which often triggers strikes during the pause.
Orange craw is most effective in stained or moderately clear water and low-light conditions, where the color and contrast help bass locate and track the lure. In very clear water, consider other color options available in the Red Eye Shad lineup.
