Strike King
The Strike King Rage Scounbug 3.5" is a compact soft-plastic crawfish lure built for bass and other predatory fish that hunt crustaceans on structure and open bottom. At 3.5 inches, this bait strikes the balance between a realistic profile and easy handling on a wide range of jig heads and rigging styles. The Green Pumpkin color is a natural choice for darker water and vegetation, mimicking crawfish in their most common habitat.
What sets the Scounbug apart is the Rage Flange technology—those oversized pincer claws move with a wide, aggressive wobble on the fall and retrieve, creating flash and vibration that trigger strikes. Eight appendages (legs, claws, and tail) work together to generate lifelike crawling and swimming motion, whether you're dragging the bait along bottom structure or swimming it through the water column. That combination of body action and claw movement is what makes this pattern effective across seasons and conditions.
The Scounbug is equally at home on a Texas rig, a jig, or a dropshot setup. Anglers working shallow crawdad beds, rocky banks, and timber will find this bait produces—it looks and acts like something bass are eating. The Green Pumpkin shade works especially well in stained to moderately clear water where a hint of flake provides visibility without looking unnatural.
The 3.5-inch body is compact enough to pair with a range of jig weights depending on depth and current. Match the jig to your target depth and casting distance; lighter heads for shallow structure, heavier for deep water or current.
Yes. Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass all eat crawfish, and the realistic profile and action appeal to all three. It's also effective on other predatory fish that hunt crawdads.
Green Pumpkin excels in darker, stained, and moderately clear water where the natural crawfish coloration and flake pattern provide visibility and realism without appearing too bright or artificial.
