Burch Fishing Tackle
The Strike King Rage Hawk Fire Craw is a compact creature bait designed for bass anglers who need a finesse option that still delivers serious action. At 2.75 inches, this bait punches above its weight—the Fire Craw color variant combined with the signature Rage Hawk profile makes it an effective choice when bass are being selective about what they eat. The compact body profile lets you rig it on smaller hooks (up to 5/0), which means better hook sets on short strikes and a presentation that looks like a legitimate meal rather than an oversized mouthful.
What sets the Rage Hawk apart is its dual-arm design: two Rage arms extend from the sides of the bait, creating lifelike movement and vibration in the water without requiring a ton of rod work. This design philosophy appeals to anglers fishing heavy cover, grass, or rocky structure where you need a bait that generates reaction strikes but stays weedless and snag-free. The Fire Craw color is a solid confidence choice in stained or tannic water where visibility matters, and it works equally well in spring and fall when crawdads are active.
Whether you're flipping around dock pilings, punching into thick vegetation, or working the shallows during a topwater bite that isn't quite turning on, the Rage Hawk Fire Craw covers the gap between full-size creature baits and micro plastics. It's versatile enough for both tournament applications and relaxed weekend fishing—rigged on a jig head or embedded in a rubber skirt, this bait earns its spot in any serious bass angler's tackle box.
| Length | 2.75 inches |
| Color | Fire Craw |
| Maximum Hook Size | 5/0 |
| Type | Creature Bait / Soft Plastic |
| Brand | Strike King |
The Rage Hawk is designed to fit hooks up to 5/0, which helps you maintain a compact profile and improves hook-up ratios when bass are biting short.
Yes. The compact 2.75-inch profile and snag-resistant design make it well-suited for flipping into heavy cover, dock pilings, and vegetation where finesse and accuracy matter.
The Fire Craw color is particularly effective in stained water, low-light conditions, and tannic water where a darker, more visible crawdad pattern helps bass locate the bait.
The Rage Hawk's compact body works well on a jig head for a straightforward finesse presentation. You can also embed it in a rubber skirt if you prefer added bulk and vibration.
