Strike Industries
If you're building a lightweight AR-15, every gram counts—and that's where the Strike Industries Ultra Light AR-15 Aluminum Pivot & Takedown Pin Kit comes in. These precision-machined pins replace two of your rifle's most frequently handled components with an aluminum alternative that sheds unnecessary weight without compromising durability. Built from 7075 billet aluminum and CNC-machined to tight tolerances, they're engineered to handle the same takedown and pivot cycles as standard steel pins while trimming ounces from your build.
The kit includes both the pivot pin and takedown pin—the two fasteners you interact with every time you field-strip your rifle. Strike Industries' EPTP design is proven in the field, and this Ultra Light version brings that same reliability to shooters who refuse to compromise on weight savings. Whether you're building a precision rifle, a hunting setup, or an overland gun, small weight reductions add up across a complete build, and aluminum pins are an easy win that doesn't touch your barrel or action.
Installation is straightforward—if you can field-strip an AR, you can swap these in. They work with standard AR-15 receiver geometry, so compatibility isn't a worry. This kit is purpose-built for shooters who understand that in lightweight builds, no detail is too small.
| Brand | Strike Industries |

Yes. The Strike Industries Ultra Light pins are designed for mil-spec AR-15 receivers and use standard geometry. They're a direct replacement for your existing pivot and takedown pins with no modification needed.
7075 aluminum is one of the strongest aluminum alloys available and is commonly used in aerospace applications. When precision-machined as these pins are, it provides durability comparable to steel pins while eliminating unnecessary weight. They're built to handle repeated field-stripping without galling or failure.
The kit includes both the pivot pin and the takedown pin—the two fasteners you'll handle each time you field-strip your rifle.
In lightweight builds, every ounce matters. While two pins may seem minor, they're part of a cumulative weight-reduction strategy. Aluminum pins eliminate unnecessary steel weight from components that don't require steel's properties, freeing up weight budget for components that impact performance—barrel profile, optics, or ammunition.
