The Strike Industries Multi-Function Receiver End Plate & Anti-Rotation Castle Nut for AR-15/LR-308 carbines is a modern take on a foundational AR component that usually gets overlooked. If you've ever rebuilt or upgraded your buffer tube assembly, you know the frustration of peening a traditional castle nut—once it's staked in place, you're committed. Strike Industries engineered this system for builders who change, adapt, and evolve their rifles. Instead of permanent peening, a set screw secures the castle nut, letting you disassemble and reassemble without damage or special tools.

The end plate itself is reversible and packs three integral attachment points: a traditional sling loop, a hook-attachment loop, and a quick-detach socket. That flexibility means you choose how you run your sling—QD socket for quick transitions, a loop for conventional slings, or a hook mount for modern tactical slings. No more settling for one mounting style or buying multiple end plates to experiment. Steel construction and black finish are built for durability and look right on any AR carbine.

What you get in the box covers the essentials: the multi-function end plate, anti-rotation castle nut, and the necessary set screws (you'll need to source a 1.5mm hex key separately). Installation is straightforward—no staking, no grinding, no guesswork. Just torque to spec and you're done. Whether you're a precision shooter, a hunting rifle builder, or someone who likes to tinker with your setup, this system removes barriers to future upgrades without sacrificing security or simplicity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this end plate compatible with my AR-15 or AR-10 build?

Yes, the Strike Industries Multi-Function Receiver End Plate works with both AR-15 and LR-308 carbine platforms. It's designed to fit standard receiver extensions on either platform.

Do I need to permanently stake or peen this castle nut?

No. Unlike traditional castle nuts, this anti-rotation design uses a set screw to retain the castle nut. You don't need to peen or stake it, which means you can disassemble your buffer tube system without damage if you want to upgrade or rebuild later.

What sling attachment options does this end plate have?

The multi-function end plate includes three integral mounting points: a traditional sling loop, a hook-style attachment loop for modern tactical slings, and an anti-rotate QD socket. The plate is reversible, giving you flexibility to choose whichever attachment style works best for your setup.

What tools do I need to install this?

You'll need a 1.5mm hex key to work with the set screws (not included in the package). Follow the recommended torque specification of not exceeding 35 ft-lbs on the castle nut during installation.
