The Strike Industries Modular Aluminum Magazine Release for Glock Gen 1-3 is a straightforward upgrade for shooters who want a smoother, more controllable mag drop. If you run a Gen 1–3 Glock (17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, or 39), this is a practical alternative to the factory release—two swappable button heads let you dial in the feel that works best for your hand and grip style.

The design pairs a CNC-milled 6061 aluminum push pad with a polymer body bar and internal mechanism. The aluminum buttons are textured to prevent your thumb from sliding off during the press, while the polymer construction minimizes wear on your magazine's retention cuts and your pistol's frame. It's a hybrid approach that trades some durability of the contact points for longevity of the gun itself.

What you get in the box is straightforward: two interchangeable aluminum button heads, one polymer body bar, and an M2 screw. Swapping between the two buttons takes seconds, so you can experiment with different profiles—or keep a backup on hand. This is the kind of small, friction-free upgrade that makes shooting more intuitive without requiring gunsmithing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Glock models does this magazine release fit?

The Strike Industries Modular Mag Release is compatible with Glock Gen 1–3 pistols, specifically models 17, 17L, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, and 39. It will not fit Gen 4 or newer Glocks.

What comes in the box?

You receive two interchangeable aluminum button heads, one polymer body bar, and one M2 screw. This allows you to switch between two different button profiles or keep a spare.

Why use polymer for the body bar and internal parts?

The polymer construction minimizes wear and tear on your magazine's retention cuts and your pistol's frame, extending the life of those components. The aluminum buttons handle the user interface, while the polymer parts take the wear internally.

Is this magazine release easier to use than the factory Glock release?

The textured aluminum buttons are designed to prevent slippage and provide a more positive, reliable press. The two interchangeable heads let you find the profile that feels best for your grip and hand size, which many shooters prefer over the factory single option.
