The Strike Industries Hex Design Forward Assist Assembly for AR-15/LR-308 gives your rifle's charging handle a serious upgrade in control and tactile feedback. If you've run a standard mil-spec forward assist, you know how easy it is to fumble it under stress or poor visibility. Strike Industries engineered this extended, L-shaped design to be faster and more intuitive to manipulate—whether you're clearing a malfunction at the range, working through a precision rifle course, or running your AR in the field. The textured surface gives you positive grip in any condition, and the anti-walk/anti-rotation engineering means the assembly stays put and operates reliably through thousands of rounds.

This is a complete, pre-assembled package with enhanced spring and pin—no guesswork about sourcing compatible internals. Steel construction ensures it'll handle the punishment of hard use and frequent manipulation without wearing smooth. The extended profile means you'll find it by feel alone, even in low light or with gloved hands. For AR builders and shooters who want better ergonomics without swapping platforms or calibers, this is a straightforward bolt-on improvement.

Strike Industries forward assists work across the AR-15 and LR-308 platform, making this a solid choice whether you're running a varmint rifle, a dedicated precision build, or a general-purpose carbine. It's the kind of upgrade that feels small on the spec sheet but catches your attention the first time you run it under stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this forward assist work on my AR-15 or LR-308?

Yes. The Strike Industries Hex Design Forward Assist Assembly is compatible with both AR-15 and LR-308 platforms.

Does it come fully assembled, or do I need to source springs and pins?

It comes pre-assembled as a complete package with an enhanced spring and pin included, so you can install it straight out of the box without sourcing additional parts.

How does the textured surface help in real use?

The textured grip surface gives you positive traction under any condition—gloved hands, low light, or wet conditions—so you can manipulate the assist faster and more reliably than a smooth, slick mil-spec button.

What does anti-walk/anti-rotation mean?

Anti-walk prevents the assembly from gradually shifting out of position with repeated use, and anti-rotation stops it from twisting. This engineering ensures the forward assist stays exactly where it should be and operates consistently through thousands of rounds.
