Strike Industries
The Strike Industries AR-15 Extended Bolt Catch is a drop-in enhancement for shooters who want faster, more reliable bolt manipulation under pressure. Whether you're running drills at the range, competing in a match, or training for real-world scenarios, this oversized bolt release lever addresses a fundamental control issue: standard bolt catches can be slow and awkward to operate, especially when you're wearing gloves or moving quickly. The extended design gives your thumb or palm a significantly larger surface area—think of it as a "ping pong paddle" for the bolt catch—so you can engage it faster and with better control, even in high-stress situations.
Built from solid investment-cast 8620 steel (not MIM), the lever is reinforced throughout and hardened to military specifications. That means it's engineered to handle hard, repeated use without flexing, cracking, or wearing down. The matte steel finish is durable and low-glare, fitting naturally into a working rifle setup. Installation is straightforward—it's a direct replacement for the factory bolt catch on any AR-15 platform.
This is the kind of small-parts upgrade that separates a refined rifle from a stock one. You'll notice the difference in dry-fire practice, magazine changes, and reloading drills within your first session. If you've ever fumbled a bolt catch with cold hands or gloves, or felt like you were losing time on the reload, this part solves that problem permanently.
