The Strike Industries EMPTG3 Enhanced Magazine Plate is a +5-round capacity extension for Taurus G3 9mm magazines that delivers both extra ammunition and practical shootability improvements. If you're running a Taurus G3 and want to maximize your on-board capacity without swapping platforms, this black polymer plate transforms your standard 15-round OEM magazine into a 20-round powerhouse while maintaining a clean, integrated look that complements the G3's aggressive lines.
What sets the EMPTG3 apart from basic capacity extensions is its design philosophy: the geometry is optimized for smooth magazine reloads with minimal drag or snag when seating rounds or reloading under pressure. The included steel locking plate adds mechanical security to the assembly, keeping everything locked down during hard use at the range or in competition. Installation comes with a steel locking plate set screw and hex tool, though Strike Industries emphasizes that the set screw should only be tightened until flush—not forced beyond that point, which can damage the product. All the hardware and an extended-length spring come in the box.
The black polymer construction is impact-resistant, so it handles the wear that comes with regular practice or match shooting. If you compete in USPSA 140mm Race Division, this plate stays within capacity limits. Just be aware that the EMPTG3 is engineered specifically for the Taurus G3 15-round magazine and is not compatible with the G3 17-round magazine or the G3c/G2c lines.
