If you run a Streamlight TLR-1 or TLR-2 weapon light on your Smith & Wesson M&P pistol, a remote switch transforms how you deploy that light in a fight or on the range. The Streamlight TLR-1 & TLR-2 Remote Switch for Standard M&P Models lets you fire your light from either hand without breaking your grip or sight picture—a huge advantage in defensive or tactical shooting where controlling light discipline matters as much as trigger control.

This isn't a bare-bones accessory. Streamlight's Contour Remote Switch has been put through live-fire abuse testing, so the construction is built to handle the shock and grime of hard use. The ambidextrous design means you can activate the light from either side, and you get both momentary (press to illuminate) and steady on/off modes so you can adapt to your tactical needs. The rotating quick-disconnect plug features an O-ring seal to keep moisture out, and a tethered rubber weather cap protects the connector when the remote isn't in use—details that matter if you're serious about your gear staying reliable.

The switch ships with mounting accessories, so you're ready to rig it up to your M&P frame right out of the box. Whether you're setting up for home defense, duty work, or tactical training, a remote switch on your weapon light is a capability upgrade that costs far less than a new gun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this remote switch work on my M&P 9 or M&P 40?

Yes, this remote switch is designed for Smith & Wesson M&P auto loading pistols in standard configurations. If you have a non-standard or custom M&P frame, verify compatibility before ordering.

Can I use momentary activation only, or do I have to use steady-on mode?

The switch offers both momentary and steady on/off modes, so you can choose whichever activation style suits your shoot or defensive scenario.

What's included in the package?

The remote switch comes with mounting accessories needed to install it on your M&P frame, a tethered protective weather cap, and the switch assembly itself.

How does the O-ring seal and weather cap protect the connection?

The O-ring on the rotating quick-disconnect plug creates a weather-tight seal when connected. When you disconnect the remote, the tethered rubber cap covers the connector to keep dirt and moisture out until you need it again.
