Streamlight
The Streamlight TLR-2G is a compact weapon-mounted light and green laser combo built for shooters who need bright illumination and a precise aiming solution on the same platform. This rail-mounted tactical light pairs 300 lumens of output with an integrated green laser, designed to attach to Glock-style and Picatinny rails—which covers most modern duty, carry, and AR-platform firearms. The green laser adds a second aiming reference that's especially useful in low light or when you need to keep your weapon pointed downrange while maintaining target focus.
Build quality is where Streamlight earned its reputation in law enforcement and military circles. The TLR-2G is machined from aluminum and anodized black, with a sealed construction that shrugs off dust and the wear of hard use. The C4 LED is virtually shock-proof and rated for 50,000 hours of operation—you'll likely retire the light long before the bulb fails. Power comes from two CR123 lithium batteries, which hold a 10-year charge and deliver up to 2.5 hours of runtime on the light, or 48 hours on laser-only mode if you need to conserve power.
The mounting system is straightforward: a rail grip clamp locks down securely with no tools and without requiring your hands near the muzzle. It detaches just as quickly, and the light remounts with repeatability—your zero stays true. The ambidextrous momentary and steady switches let you operate it from either side. At 4.72 ounces, it won't throw your balance off, and it's light enough to fit inside most holsters designed for light-bearing pistols.
