Stevens
The Stevens 555 Sporting Over/Under Shotgun in 20 gauge is built for shooters who want legitimate competition-grade performance without the sticker shock. This 30" barreled O/U brings serious gear to trap, skeet, and clay leagues—and it'll handle upland game when the season shifts. The receiver is aluminum alloy engineered specifically for 20 gauge proportions, with a reinforced steel breech insert that keeps things strong while staying light at 6.4 lbs. That matters when you're shooting round after round and need to stay on target.
The 555 Sporting handles recoil management through ported barrels and comes dressed with a raised ventilated rib, mid-bead rear sight, and a fiber optic front bead to help you find your line quickly. The Turkish walnut furniture feels right—not fancy, but honest—and the adjustable cheek riser means you can dial in the comb height to fit your face and shooting style. Length of pull runs a fixed 14.5", and the chrome-lined barrels are built to last through seasons of clay breaking. A mechanical trigger with 5 lb pull weight and manual safety keep operation straightforward, and you'll find the gun is ambidextrous if you're a left-handed shot.
Out of the box, the 555 Sporting ships with five extended choke tubes (Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder) so you can tailor patterns to your target distance and load. The manual extractor handles empties without fuss. At 47.5" overall length, it's proportioned for actual shooting comfort, not bench sitting. If you shoot clays seriously or hunt upland birds, this is the kind of gun that gets out of your way and lets you focus on your fundamentals.
