Spyderco
The Spyderco Para Military 2 Maxamet folding knife is a refined workhorse for hunters, outdoorsmen, and everyday carry enthusiasts who demand a blade that earns its place in the field or on the job. Built around a 3.47" plain-edge blade forged from Maxamet steel, this mid-sized folder combines edge retention and corrosion resistance in a package that won't quit you when conditions get tough. The dark gray textured G10 handle delivers a secure grip in wet or gloved conditions, while the included pocket clip ensures the knife stays accessible without drawing attention.
Para Military 2 knives have earned their reputation through years of real-world use by hunters, guides, and gear-obsessed outdoors people who can't afford equipment failures. Maxamet steel takes that reputation a step further—it's a high-carbon stainless that holds an edge longer than common blade steels, a genuine asset when you're field dressing game, processing firewood, or tackling camp tasks. The textured G10 grip does the work its synthetic material is designed for: it stays grippy when wet or cold, and it's tough enough to take whatever backcountry duty comes its way.
This is a mid-sized folder that bridges the gap between a pocket knife and a full-size camp blade. Not so small that you feel handicapped, not so large that it becomes a burden. The plain edge (no serration) keeps the blade simple and sharp-friendly—you can hand-sharpen it if you need to in the field. If you're building a do-it-all outdoor kit and want a knife that won't let you down, the Para Military 2 Maxamet belongs on the list.
