Spro
The Spro Bronze Eye Popper 1/2 is a 60 mm hollow-body frog designed to pull bass from heavy cover with a loud, attention-grabbing popping action. Built to the specifications of MLF pro Dean Rojas—who proved its effectiveness in high-stakes tournament competition—this popper delivers the kind of commotion that triggers reaction strikes in vegetation, timber, and shallow structure where bass hide. At half an ounce, it's sized for precise, controlled presentation through thick grass and reeds, making it a natural choice for anglers targeting shallow-water bass in spring and summer.
The Albino color variant mimics baitfish and works well in a range of light conditions, from clear water to stained. The lure's popping face is engineered to create a distinct disturbance—bass key on that sound and movement even when visibility is poor. Anglers fishing hollow-body frogs appreciate their weedless design and the solid connection that follows when a bass commits.
What sets this popper apart from generic soft plastics is the pairing of proven design with premium hardware. The included Gamakatsu Double Hook (#3/0 NSB EWG) is sharp out of the box and sized to match the bait's body for reliable hookups on violent topwater takes. If you're serious about frog fishing and want a lure that's been tournament-tested and trusted by pros, the Bronze Eye Popper belongs in your shallow-water arsenal.
