Spike's Tactical
The Spike's Tactical SUGT0M1 is a pistol length gas tube built for AR-15 platforms that demand durability under real-world conditions. Whether you're running a rifle with an open handguard and want to eliminate reflective surfaces, or you're swapping out a worn tube, this component is engineered to last. The Melonite-coated hardened stainless steel construction resists heat and corrosion far better than standard tubes, which matters when your rifle sees regular use at the range or in the field.
Gas tubes don't get much attention until you need one, but they're central to your AR's reliability. A quality tube that can handle sustained shooting without degradation keeps your rifle cycling predictably. The matte black finish does double duty: it provides that low-profile tactical look on open-top builds while eliminating one potential source of light reflection during shooting.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable working on their AR. The package includes the roll pin you'll need to secure it in place, so you're not hunting for hardware on the side. If you're building a new upper, upgrading an older rifle, or simply want a proven Spike's component in your gun, this is a no-nonsense choice.
| Brand | Spike's Tactical |
| Model | SUGT0M1 |
| Type | Pistol Length Gas Tube |
| Platform | AR-15 |
| Material | Hardened Stainless Steel with Melonite Coating |
| Finish | Matte Black |
| Included | Gas Tube Roll Pin |
The SUGT0M1 is sized for pistol length gas systems on AR-15 platforms. Confirm your upper is set up for pistol length (not carbine or mid-length) before ordering.
Melonite coating penetrates the steel surface and hardens it, providing superior resistance to heat and corrosion compared to untreated or simply parkerized tubes. This means longer service life with less maintenance, especially if your rifle sees heavy or sustained use.
Yes. The package includes the gas tube roll pin required to secure the tube in your upper receiver, so you have the hardware needed for installation.
Open handguards expose internal components to light. A polished or shiny tube can reflect sunlight or lamp light during shooting, potentially creating unwanted glint. The matte finish eliminates that, which is why it's a popular choice for tactical and field rifles.
