Sons of Liberty Gun Works
The bolt carrier group is the engine of your AR-15, and choosing the right one separates reliable performance from repeated failures downrange. The SOLGW Bolt Carrier Group from Sons of Liberty Gun Works is a mil-spec, precision-engineered assembly designed for shooters who demand durability and consistency in every round. Built from high-grade steel and finished to military specifications, this BCG handles both standard and demanding shooting applications with the kind of dependability you expect from a purpose-built fighting rifle component.
The bolt itself is machined from Carpenter Technology No. 158 steel—a premium material heat-treated to mil-spec standards—then shot-peened and vibratory tumbled to eliminate stress points. Sons of Liberty doesn't cut corners here: every completed assembly undergoes full-auto test firing to confirm function before it ships. The carrier is machined from AISI 8620 alloy steel in a full-auto profile, carburized, heat-treated, and stress-relieved for consistent performance under sustained fire. The gas key interface is precision-ground for a tight, reliable fit, and the hex screws are Grade 8 fasteners sealed with Permatex, torqued, and staked exactly to spec—no guesswork, no slop.
Attention to detail extends to the smaller components: the extractor spring is a Sprinco 5-coil chrome-silicon design paired with a synthetic elastomer buffer, engineered to keep extraction smooth cycle after cycle. This is the kind of bolt carrier group built for shooters who run suppressed, shoot hard loads, or simply refuse to tolerate the failure that comes with cut-rate parts.
| Bolt Material | Carpenter Technology No. 158 steel |
| Carrier Material | AISI 8620 alloy steel |
| Carrier Profile | Full-auto |
| Gas Key Fasteners | Grade 8 hex screws, Permatex-sealed, torqued and staked to mil-spec |
| Extractor Spring | Sprinco 5-coil chrome-silicon with synthetic elastomer buffer |
| Finish | Heat-treated, carburized, stress-relieved |
| Compatibility | AR-15 |
| Specification Standard | Mil-Spec |
The SOLGW BCG is designed as a mil-spec assembly for any AR-15 platform. Its full-auto profile carrier and standard dimensions make it compatible across mil-spec receivers.
Yes. Sons of Liberty Gun Works full-auto test-fires every completed assembly to verify function and reliability before it ships.
The gas key interface is precision-ground for a tight fit, and the Grade 8 hex screws are sealed with Permatex, then torqued and staked to military specifications. This eliminates movement and gas leakage that causes performance loss over time.
The mil-spec design, carburized carrier, and Sprinco extractor spring with elastomer buffer are built to handle sustained and demanding fire. That said, always verify compatibility with your specific rifle setup and ammunition.
