A Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and Shield M2.0 .40 S&W stainless steel magazine is a factory-original replacement and backup mag for one of the most popular compact carry guns on the market. Whether you're building a dedicated spare-mag rotation, upgrading capacity, or just planning for a range day, a genuine Smith & Wesson OEM magazine ensures reliable feeding and perfect fit every time—no guessing, no compatibility headaches.

Smith & Wesson offers these .40 S&W Shield magazines in two capacity options: a 6-round version for standard carry, and a 7-round configuration that includes an extended base-plate. That extended base-plate on the higher-capacity version isn't just for looks—it gives your pinky finger and grip a more secure purchase, which matters when you need speed and control. Both feature steel construction throughout the body, paired with a polymer follower and base-plate for smooth, reliable cycling and durability through thousands of rounds.

Stainless steel construction resists corrosion and wear, keeping your magazines functioning year after year whether they're seeing daily carry duty or sitting in a range bag. OEM magazines are always the smart choice for defensive guns and serious shooters: they're engineered to your exact firearm, they hold their value, and they're backed by Smith & Wesson's reputation. Stock a couple as backups, keep one loaded and ready, and know you've got a critical piece of your carry system that will work when it has to.
