The SilencerCo AC1562 ASR Flash Hider is a 9mm muzzle device built around SilencerCo's modular ASR mounting system, giving you fast one-handed attachment and removal when running a suppressor—and excellent flash reduction when you're not. This 1/2"-36 TPI threaded device cuts through one of the biggest trade-offs in suppressor ownership: you get a single flash hider that works with any ASR-equipped silencer, so you can swap suppressors between firearms or attach different cans to the same gun without breaking out tools or changing muzzle devices. If you run unsuppressed, the design delivers real muzzle flash control without the harsh "tuning fork" ring that plagues traditional three-prong flash hiders.

Built from stainless steel with a durable black nitride finish, this flash hider handles the abuse of range days and field work while resisting corrosion. The ASR quick-disconnect system has become the standard in modern suppressor setups because it actually works—no wobble, fast transitions, repeatable zero. Whether you're a dedicated suppressor user rotating cans across multiple rifles and pistols, or someone who wants solid flash hiding on unsuppressed fire, this hider justifies the platform choice.

Threading is 1/2"-36 TPI, the standard for 9mm host guns. If you're building or upgrading a 9mm rifle, pistol, or PCC, verify your barrel matches this specification before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this flash hider work with my SilencerCo suppressor?

Yes, if your suppressor is equipped with SilencerCo's ASR mounting system. The quick-disconnect design allows one-handed attachment and removal of any ASR-compatible silencer.

What thread pitch do I need for my 9mm barrel?

This model is 1/2"-36 TPI, the standard thread specification for 9mm firearms. Verify your barrel is threaded to this spec before purchase. If you have a different pitch or are unsure, contact us to confirm compatibility.

Can I use this on an unsuppressed gun?

Absolutely. The ASR Flash Hider functions as a standalone muzzle device, providing effective flash reduction without a suppressor attached. You get a cleaner sight picture and less muzzle signature than many traditional three-prong designs, without the associated ringing noise.

Can I move one suppressor between multiple guns using this hider?

Yes—that's one of the main advantages of the ASR system. Install this flash hider on each gun you want to run a suppressor on, and one (or multiple) ASR-equipped suppressors can be quickly swapped between firearms without tools or re-zeroing.
