Sightmark
The Sightmark SM39016 .40 S&W red laser boresight is a practical tool for pistol shooters who want to quickly verify sight alignment before heading to the range. Instead of burning through ammo to dial in your defensive pistol, handgun sight, or mounted optic, you load this compact brass cartridge-shaped device into your chamber, close the action, and project a laser dot at your target to confirm your zero. It works with scopes, red dot sights, and iron sights—any aiming system that benefits from a fast, low-cost validation without live fire.
The .40 S&W laser boresight contains its own laser and battery system inside a durable machined brass housing. Screw the cap to activate the laser; remove the batteries when you're done. At 20–30 yards, the red dot gives you a clear visual confirmation of bore alignment, so you can adjust your sights or optic to match your point of aim without guesswork. This is especially useful when switching sights, mounting a new red dot, or simply verifying that a defensive handgun hasn't shifted zero after carry or storage.
Boresighting saves time and ammunition, and the Sightmark system fits in your range bag—it ships with a nylon carrying case that tucks into a pocket or tool kit. Use it as a pre-range confidence check before you fire live rounds, or as a troubleshooting step if your pistol isn't shooting where you're aiming.
| Caliber | .40 S&W |
| Laser Color | Red |
| Housing Material | Machined Brass |
| Power Source | Batteries (included) |
| Accessories Included | Battery pack, nylon carrying case |
Yes, if your pistol is chambered in .40 S&W. The boresight is caliber-specific, so it must fit your weapon's chamber. Insert the entire assembly into the chamber, close the action gently, and aim at a target 20–30 yards away.
The SM39016 works with any aiming system: rifle scopes, holographic red dot sights, standard red dot optics, and iron sights. The laser projects along the bore axis, so you align your chosen sighting method to the laser dot.
The package includes the boresight, a battery pack, and a nylon carrying case for storage and transport.
Screw the cap onto the housing to activate the laser; remove the batteries to turn it off. The batteries are included, so you're ready to use it out of the box.
