Sig Sauer
The Sig Sauer Clutch-Lok QD muzzle brake is a dual-purpose accessory designed for shooters running Sig's SLH or SLX suppressors. This black stainless steel brake threads onto 7.62mm barrels with 5/8"-24 TPI pitch and uses a 90-degree taper interface—making it compatible with non-Sig barrels that share that geometry. When your suppressor is mounted via the quick-detach system, it functions as the QD interface; remove the can and you've got an effective muzzle brake that meaningfully reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, improving shot control and follow-up accuracy.
If you're building a 7.62 rifle around a non-Sig barrel and want a suppressor-ready platform without the complexity of separate brake and mount components, this Clutch-Lok delivers both roles in one. The quick-detach coupling system makes attachment and removal fast and repeatable—no tools required. The 90-degree taper geometry is the key compatibility spec here; confirm your barrel matches this interface type before ordering. (Sig also produces a 25-degree taper version for their proprietary Taper-Lok barrels, so grab the right version for your setup.)
Remember: suppressors, mounts, and NFA-regulated devices come with serious legal requirements. It's your responsibility to verify compliance with federal NFA regulations and your local and state laws before purchase and use. Check with your FFL and local authorities if you're unfamiliar with the rules in your jurisdiction.
