Sig Sauer
The Sig Sauer Whiskey6 3-18x44mm rifle scope is a lightweight, optically pure hunting optic built for shooters who demand clarity at distance without excess weight in the field. This 30mm-tube scope trades the heft of older designs for a 22.8 oz platform that won't burden your rifle on a long day in the mountains, yet delivers the magnification range and optical performance you need from 3x all the way to 18x power. Whether you're glassing steep country or setting up a shot at extended range, the Whiskey6 brings Sig Sauer's Oregon-built Electro-Optics quality to the hunting scope category in a form factor that actually makes sense for backcountry work.
The optical core here is HDX extra-low dispersion glass paired with high transmittance glass (HT) that achieves up to 98.6% light transmission. That matters on dawn hunts, overcast mornings, and low-angle evening shots—you get genuine brightness and color fidelity without the haze or contrast loss that plagues cheaper glass. The scope is sealed IPX-7 waterproof (rated for full submersion to one meter) and purged with argon gas to stay fog-proof in temperature swings and humidity. You won't babysit a foggy reticle while waiting for a shot.
The MOA Milling Hunter 2.0 reticle is purpose-built for long-range hunters who understand elevation and wind calls. It integrates windage holds and elevation references in a clean, uncluttered design—busy reticles fail in the field when you need to think fast. Quarter-MOA clicks (0.25 MOA increments) give you precision adjustment without the confusion of half-MOA systems. With 78 MOA of total elevation and windage travel, you have the mechanical room to hunt from moderate ranges all the way to what most hunters consider "far." Second-focal-plane reticle means the holdovers only work at top magnification, a trade-off that keeps the reticle clean and readable across the zoom range.
This is a scope built for hunters who understand optics, value weight savings, and refuse to compromise on image quality. If you're running a precision bolt gun or modern hunting rifle and you're willing to dial rather than holdover, the Whiskey6 earns its place in your kit.

The MOA Milling Hunter 2.0 reticle integrates windage and elevation holds for hunters who dial or holdover when making longer shots. It's a clean, purpose-built pattern that avoids the clutter of busy reticles, so you can focus on range estimation and wind calls without visual distraction.
Yes. The Whiskey6's 18x magnification, MOA Milling Hunter 2.0 reticle, and 78 MOA of elevation and windage travel make it well-suited to long-range hunting scenarios. Pair it with a quality rifle platform, learn your ballistics, and you have the optical and mechanical tools to make disciplined shots at extended distances. This is not a specialty target scope—it's a hunting optic with the range capability serious hunters need.
The Whiskey6 weighs 22.8 oz. Sig Sauer engineered this generation to be up to 25% lighter than the prior Whiskey5, so if weight savings matter on a backcountry hunt or mountain rifle, this scope delivers that advantage compared to older scopes in this power range.
No. The scope is purged with argon gas and sealed to IPX-7 waterproof standards, which prevents moisture from entering the optics. You can trust it to stay clear through temperature changes and in humid or wet field conditions.
