Sig Sauer
The Sig Sauer Cross 8900427 Cal-X Kit in .308 Winchester with a 24-inch heavy barrel gives you a straightforward way to convert your Cross rifle to a different caliber or reconfigure it for a new role. If you already own a Sig Sauer Cross and want to explore .308 Win shooting without buying a second rifle, a dedicated barrel kit like this one makes sense for the range, hunting, or both. It's the kind of practical modularity that appeals to shooters who like to adapt their gear to different seasons, distances, or game.
The 24-inch heavy barrel is built for stainless steel construction, which means you're getting corrosion resistance and the weight profile that hunters and precision shooters often prefer. A heavier barrel naturally soaks up recoil impulse and tends to shoot tighter groups, especially when you're settling in for longer sessions at the range or waiting for that one shot to count in the field.
Before you add this to your cart, verify that it's compatible with your specific Cross platform and that you have the knowledge or gunsmith support to swap barrels safely. Barrel installation on a precision rifle isn't a casual task, and proper headspacing and torque specs matter. If you're comfortable with the work or have a trusted smith nearby, this kit opens up caliber flexibility that would otherwise require a whole new rifle.

Barrel installation on a precision rifle requires proper tools, headspacing knowledge, and correct torque specs. This is not a field-swap item. We strongly recommend professional installation unless you're experienced with precision rifle work.
This is a barrel kit for the Sig Sauer Cross. The product record specifies the barrel itself; for a complete list of what ships with it (hardware, instructions, etc.), contact Bosque Outdoors directly.
The .308 Winchester is a proven hunting and precision rifle cartridge. The 24-inch heavy barrel profile supports inherent accuracy. Your success depends on your load, optics, and marksmanship—the barrel gives you a solid foundation for either role.
