SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra MatchKing .308 200gr HPBT-M is a precision rifle bullet built from the ground up for accuracy. Whether you're loading for competitive target shooting, load development, or long-range range work, these 100 bullets deliver the consistency and performance Sierra has been known for in precision shooting circles. The 200-grain weight and boat-tail hollow-point design make them well-suited to .308 Winchester and similar cartridges where velocity, trajectory, and energy retention matter in your ballistics calculations.
What sets MatchKing bullets apart is the obsessive attention to uniformity in their manufacturing. The jacket concentricity is held to 0.0003 inch maximum variation—a spec that translates directly to tighter velocity spreads and less vertical stringing on the target. Individual bullet weights are controlled to within ±0.3 grain, so each round you load will perform predictably downrange. That consistency is what separates a 0.5 MOA load from a 1.0 MOA load, especially when you're tuning a rifle to its absolute potential.
The hollow-point boat-tail configuration delivers a high ballistic coefficient that minimizes wind deflection and maintains velocity over distance. The small meplat (the flat tip of the hollow point) contributes to that ballistic efficiency without compromising the bullet's structural integrity in your press or magazine. These are target-first bullets, made to exacting standards by shooters who understand that sub-MOA accuracy is built on repeatability, not luck.
A box of 100 gives you enough inventory for serious load development, competition prep, or a season of precision range shooting. If you're handloading .308 for consistent performance at distance, MatchKing's track record speaks for itself.
| Brand | Sierra Bullets |
| Product Type | Rifle Reloading Bullets |
| Caliber | .308 (7.62mm) |
| Weight | 200 grains |
| Bullet Style | Hollow Point Boat Tail (HPBT-M) |
| Jacket Concentricity | 0.0003 inch maximum variation |
| Weight Tolerance | ±0.3 grain |
| Count | 100 bullets |
These .308 (7.62mm) bullets are designed for rifles chambered in .308 Winchester and other cartridges that accept .308 diameter projectiles. Always verify compatibility with your specific rifle and cartridge before loading.
Sierra MatchKing bullets are designed and optimized for target shooting and precision rifle competition. Sierra recommends other bullet designs for most hunting applications.
One box contains 100 individual bullets. Combined with your choice of .308 brass, primers, and powder, you'll be able to load 100 complete cartridges.
The tight concentricity tolerance (0.0003 inch maximum) and strict weight control (±0.3 grain) mean each bullet behaves identically in flight. This consistency reduces velocity variation between shots, which directly translates to tighter groups and more predictable ballistics at distance.
