SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra 2269MP MatchKing is a 30-caliber match-grade reloading bullet built for precision shooters who demand consistency from the bench to the long-range target line. Each 169-grain hollow point boat tail round is engineered for accuracy and ballistic performance, making it a natural fit for hand loaders working with rifles like the .308 Winchester and other medium to large magnum cartridges. With a 250-count box per unit, you get enough quality ammunition components to develop loads, refine zero, and put downrange volume behind your practice and competition sessions.
Sierra designed the 2269MP with the extended boat tail profile and a closed-nose tangent ogive to optimize stability and energy retention, especially across extended distances. The resulting .527 ballistic coefficient helps these bullets maintain velocity and strike energy well beyond 1000 yards when fired from .308 chambers and larger magnum platforms. Whether you're fine-tuning a precision rifle for a medium-range hunting load or pursuing match-grade accuracy at the range, this bullet offers the dimensional consistency and aerodynamic profile that rewarded reloaders have come to expect from Sierra's MatchKing line.
These are unprimed, uncased bullet components—you'll need to load them into your brass and prime according to your load data and published reloading protocols. For hand loaders, the appeal is straightforward: Sierra's quality control means less sorting and prep work, and the proven geometry makes it easier to develop loads that shoot tight groups. If you're stepping up from lighter or less refined bullets, the 2269MP will reward good technique with noticeably better consistency downrange.
| Caliber | 30 Caliber |
| Bullet Weight | 169 Grains |
| Bullet Style | Hollow Point Boat Tail |
| Ballistic Coefficient | .527 |
| Count Per Box | 250 |
| Application | Match-Grade Reloading |
These bullets are designed for .308 Winchester and medium to large magnum calibers. Always verify your specific rifle's chamber and caliber, and consult published reloading data from Sierra or a trusted reloading manual before developing loads.
The box contains 250 loose, unprimed bullet components. You will need to obtain brass cases, primers, and powder separately, and follow safe reloading procedures to assemble complete ammunition.
The 2269MP has a .527 BC, which measures how well the bullet resists air drag. A higher ballistic coefficient means the bullet retains velocity and energy over distance—in this case, staying supersonic past 1000 yards when fired from a .308 chamber. This helps maintain point-of-impact and energy retention on long-range shots.
The 2269MP is a refined redesign of Sierra's legendary 168 MatchKing. The added length in the boat tail and engineered ogive profile give the 2269MP improved long-range performance, particularly for medium and magnum calibers, while Sierra continues to manufacture the original 168MK for those who prefer it.
