SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra MatchKing 30 Cal 169 Gr HPBT bullets are purpose-built for competitive shooters and long-range hunters who demand precision and consistency. These match-grade projectiles represent a thoughtful evolution of Sierra's legendary 168 MatchKing platform, engineered specifically to extend effective range and maintain stability at distance. If you're working up loads for .308 Winchester or larger magnum cartridges, these 169-grain hollow point boat tail rounds deliver the ballistic performance serious competitors expect from a custom competition bullet.
Sierra's design philosophy here centers on extending supersonic performance well past 1,000 yards in .308 chambers. The lengthened boat tail and forgiving tangent ogive with a closed nose create a bullet that's both predictable downrange and forgiving of small variations in load development—a practical advantage whether you're tuning for a precision rifle match or a long-range hunting setup. The .527 ballistic coefficient at velocity is the headline number, but what matters more is how that translates to wind drift reduction and velocity retention where it counts.
Each box contains 100 bullets, offering reloaders a practical volume for load development, testing, or maintaining a steady supply for regular competition and practice. These are unprimed, so you'll need your own brass, primers, and powder to complete the cartridge assembly. Sierra's quality control and consistent manufacturing make these a reliable choice for anyone serious about match-grade ammunition.

| Ballistic Coefficient (1540–2180 fps) | 0.505 |
| Ballistic Coefficient (below 1540 fps) | 0.445 |
| Count per Box | 100 |
Yes. The Sierra MatchKing 169 Gr was specifically designed with .308 Winchester in mind, as well as larger magnum cartridges. They are engineered to remain supersonic past 1,000 yards when fired from a .308 chamber.
The 169 MatchKing represents a redesign of the legendary 168 MatchKing platform. The main improvements include added length in the boat tail and a forgiving tangent ogive with a closed nose, which together produce a higher ballistic coefficient and extended effective range. Sierra continues to manufacture both models.
The facts provided describe these as custom competition bullets. While many reloaders use match-grade projectiles for hunting applications, these are primarily marketed toward competitive and long-range target shooting.
These are bullets only. You'll need to supply your own brass, primers, and reloading powder to complete the ammunition. The box contains 100 unpressed bullet components.
