Shooters Choice
The Shooter's Choice .22 Pierce Point Jag is a solid brass cleaning accessory built to handle the most common rimfire and centerfire rifle cartridges. Compatible with standard 8-32 thread cleaning rods, this jag is caliber-specific to .22 and similar small-bore rifles—including .22 rimfire, .22 LR, .22 WMR, .22-250, .223/5.56mm, and .243 Winchester. The pointed, centering design keeps your patch properly aligned in the bore, and the jag releases cleanly as it exits the muzzle, making the bore-cleaning process faster and less frustrating.
Solid brass construction is a non-negotiable choice for gun cleaning tools. Unlike steel or harder alloys, brass won't scratch, nick, or otherwise damage the interior of your rifle's barrel—a critical consideration when you're running patches and solvents through a precision rifle bore. Whether you're cleaning .22 rimfire plinkers, varmint rifles, or mid-sized hunting rounds, this jag delivers reliable, safe bore maintenance without the risk of accidental damage.
The pierce point design is worth its weight. Rather than relying on a cup or loop that can bunch up or hold solvent unevenly, the pointed tip penetrates and centers the patch, ensuring full bore contact and even patch removal on the back end. If you're rotating between multiple rimfire and centerfire rifles, having a proper jag for each caliber takes the guesswork out of your cleaning rod setup.

No. The jag is made of solid brass, which is softer than steel and will not scratch, nick, or otherwise harm your barrel's interior surfaces during the cleaning process.
This .22 jag is caliber-specific and suitable for cleaning .22 rimfire, .22 LR, .22 WMR, .22-250, .223/5.56mm, and .243 Winchester rifles.
The pierce point design centers the patch in the bore for even cleaning contact and allows the patch to fall off cleanly as the jag exits the muzzle. This prevents bunching and makes the cleaning process more efficient and less messy.
