The SCCY Industries CPX-1 9mm pistol delivers reliable, no-nonsense performance in a compact frame built for everyday carry. This third-generation 9mm compact pistol pairs a short 3.1-inch barrel with a manageable 10-round magazine capacity, making it equally at home in a waistband holster, purse, or truck center console. Whether you're a first-time handgun buyer or an experienced shooter looking for a proven workhorse, the CPX-1 earns its reputation through straightforward design and consistent reliability.
The CPX-1 uses a double-action-only (DAO) trigger system with a 9-pound pull—a deliberate choice that ensures safety without fumbling with external safeties in a high-stress moment. Still, SCCY equipped the gun with an external, ambidextrous manual safety for shooters who prefer that layer of security. The stainless steel slide resists corrosion, while the polymer frame keeps weight down to just 15 ounces—light enough for all-day carry without printing or causing fatigue. Measuring 6 inches long and 1.1 inches wide, it's genuinely pocketable for a 9mm, though you'll want a proper holster to protect the trigger guard and support the gun safely.
Sights on the CPX-1 follow the proven G-43 profile, and this model is available in a red-dot-ready configuration if you want to mount an optic. The addition of a Picatinny rail opens up accessory options—flashlights, lasers, or future upgrades. Grip improvements in this generation make the gun feel less snappy than earlier CPX models, and the stainless/polymer combo resists the nickel-and-dime wear that shows up on all-steel carry guns.
The black/pink two-tone finish isn't just eye-catching—it's practical. The contrast helps you locate the gun quickly in low light and stands out distinctly in a safe or range bag. No gimmick, no compromise on reliability. This is a 9mm that works, carries easy, and won't empty your wallet.

Like any firearm, it demands regular cleaning and practice—but the design itself is straightforward and proven.
Yes. The CPX-1 includes a Picatinny rail for mounting tactical lights, lasers, or other rail-compatible gear. This model is also available in a red-dot-ready variant, allowing you to mount an RDS directly. Check that any optic or accessory is rated for the gun's recoil and dimensions.
The CPX-1 uses a double-action-only trigger, meaning every shot fires with the same 9-pound pull—no single-action mode. It also has an external, ambidextrous manual safety you can engage. This setup prioritizes consistent trigger control and safety over speed or simplicity, which many shooters prefer in a carry gun.
Ten rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber gives you 11 total rounds, which meets the baseline for most defensive scenarios. Capacity preference is personal; some carry a spare magazine for extended outings or sport shooting. The compact size and light weight of the CPX-1 make carrying a reload practical without bulk.
