The Savage MARK II G .22 LR bolt-action rifle is a no-nonsense rimfire built for shooters who want accuracy without the frills or the price tag. Model 20700 pairs a heavy, free-floating, button-rifled barrel with Savage's renowned AccuTrigger—a factory-tuned trigger that breaks cleanly and consistently, a rarity at this price point. If you're training new shooters, working up loads for a rimfire match, or just want a reliable .22 that groups tight, this rifle delivers the precision you'd expect from a target-grade platform.

The blued barrel and brown laminate wood stock give it a classic, purposeful look, while the laminate dampens vibration and handles temperature swings better than standard wood. The detachable magazine keeps feeding simple and reliable, and the three-position safety is intuitive and secure. Savage has already drilled and tapped the receiver for scope mounts, so you're ready to add optics without gunsmithing. At 6.5 pounds, it's light enough for a day at the range or casual hunting, yet stable enough for precision work.

This is a rifle for folks who care about what a gun actually does, not what it looks like in a case. No iron sights means you'll want to mount glass, but that's by design—this platform is made to shine behind a scope. Whether you're plinking at 50 yards or dialing in groups at distance, the MARK II G's heavy barrel, solid trigger, and field-proven reliability make it one of the smartest .22 bolt-actions out there.
