Savage Arms
The Savage Arms 93 R17 F XP is a .17 HMR rimfire rifle built for shooters who want accurate, reliable performance on small game and varmints without breaking the bank or the sound barrier. This bolt-action sporter delivers the kind of precision you'd expect from a centerfire rifle, but in a compact, easy-handling package that's perfect for backyard plinking, farm duty, or introducing newer shooters to rifle fundamentals. At just 6 pounds with a 21-inch barrel and 39.5-inch overall length, it points naturally and cycles smoothly—a genuine pleasure to shoot all day.
What sets the 93 R17 F XP apart is its attention to the details that matter. The AccuTrigger is factory-tuned for a clean, crisp break without requiring a gunsmith visit, and the adjustable design lets you dial in the pull weight to your preference. The detachable box magazine keeps feeding reliable, and the two-position safety sits right where your thumb naturally lands. You get a synthetic stock with cut checkering and swivel studs for sling attachment, all in matte black that resists glare and handles hard use. The 1:9 twist barrel is optimized for .17 HMR ballistics, and the rifle comes with a 3x9x40 scope already mounted and bore-sighted—no gunsmithing, no extra cost, ready to shoot accurately out of the box.
Savage's 17 Series rifles have earned a reputation for combining affordability with genuine craftsmanship. The 93 R17 F XP proves you don't need a premium price tag to get a rifle that shoots straight and lasts. If you hunt predators and small game, dispatch varmints around the homestead, or simply want a tack-driving rimfire that handles like a real rifle, this is one of the smartest buys on the market.
