Savage Arms
The Savage Arms 301 Stevens Model 57666 is a purpose-built 12 gauge single shot turkey shotgun designed for hunters who appreciate simplicity and reliability in the field. This break-action shotgun pairs a 26-inch barrel with a 3-inch chamber, optimized for modern turkey loads and dressed in Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage to help you blend into spring or fall hunting scenarios. At just 6 pounds, it's light enough for a full day of calling and glassing, yet built tough enough to handle the recoil of serious turkey ammunition.
What sets the 301 apart is its straightforward, no-nonsense design. The single-shot break action is about as reliable as a shotgun gets—no springs to wear out, no gas tubes to foul. Load one round, close the action, and you're ready. The removable one-piece rail lets you mount an optic or red dot if you want precision aiming, while the traditional bead sight works just fine for close-range turkey work. A hammer-blocking safety keeps things secure until you're ready to swing on a gobbler.
The synthetic stock with recoil pad and swivel studs gives you a practical, weather-resistant platform that won't warp or swell in wet conditions. The extra-full choke tube (Win. choke pattern ½-32UN) is included and tuned for tight patterns. This shotgun isn't trying to be everything to everyone—it's a turkey gun that does one job exceptionally well, and does it without the complexity or cost of multi-purpose designs.
