Samson Manufacturing
The Samson Manufacturing SXT Handguard 9'' M-LOK Black is a free-floating AR-15 handguard built for shooters who want a lightweight, modular platform without unnecessary bulk. At 9.25 inches actual length, it strikes a practical balance for mid-length builds—short enough for CQB-style setups, long enough to clear most optics and accessories. The 7-sided M-LOK attachment system gives you plenty of real estate to mount lights, lasers, grips, and other gear exactly where you need them, and it comes packaged with a 2-inch M-LOK rail to get you started.
This handguard is made in New Hampshire from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625 type III hard anodizing—the same military-spec coating used on quality AR uppers and lowers. The free-float design means the tube doesn't touch your barrel, which can tighten groups and improve consistency. Installation is straightforward: a simple two-bolt clamping system threads into your existing barrel nut, no knurling or bias blocks required. The package includes the hex wrench, a new barrel nut, and the wrench you need to install it.
Aesthetics matter too. The chamfered leading edge gives the SXT a cleaner profile than squared-off designs, and the ambidextrous integrated QD sling point is tucked into the geometry so it won't snag gear or catch on your kit. Whether you're building a hunting rifle, running it at the range, or setting up a defensive platform, this handguard delivers American-made durability and thoughtful ergonomic touches without breaking the bank.

Yes. The free-float design means the tube doesn't contact your barrel, which can improve accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency by eliminating barrel harmonics interference.
It features a 7-sided M-LOK attachment pattern, which is a modern, slim alternative to Picatinny rail. M-LOK is widely supported by manufacturers of tactical lights, laser modules, vertical grips, sling attachments, and other accessories. The handguard comes with one 2-inch M-LOK rail to get you started.
The 9-inch model weighs 11.3 ounces (with barrel nut included) and has an actual length of 9.25 inches. The internal diameter is 1.25 inches and the outer diameter is 1.6 inches.
