Rugged Gear
The Rugged Gear 10040 Dual Lock Universal Gun Rack is a practical mounting solution designed for hunters and shooters who need secure, accessible firearm storage on an ATV or off-road vehicle. Built from black metal construction, this universal gun rack accommodates different rifle and shotgun profiles without requiring permanent modifications to your rig, making it an ideal choice for backcountry hunters, overlanders, and anyone who relies on a side-by-side or quad for accessing remote hunting country.
What sets the dual-lock design apart is its approach to retention—the two-point locking system keeps your firearms stable during rough terrain while remaining quick to deploy when you need them. Whether you're navigating rocky trails, crossing streams, or powering through dense brush, this rack holds your guns secure without rattling or shifting. The black powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion in wet conditions, an essential feature for serious outdoor users who don't plan to park their rigs between seasons.
Installation is straightforward enough for most ATV setups, and the universal mounting design means you aren't locked into a single gun model or caliber. That flexibility is valuable if your arsenal grows or changes over time. This is the kind of gear that sits on your vehicle and works quietly—no fuss, no electronic components to fail, just reliable mechanical retention when you need it most.
The Rugged Gear 10040 is a universal design intended for ATV mounting applications. Confirm your specific vehicle's mounting points and rail configuration before purchase to ensure compatibility with your rig.
The universal design accommodates rifles and shotguns of varying profiles and styles. The dual-lock system adjusts to secure different firearm sizes and shapes commonly used in hunting and field applications.
The black metal construction features a finish designed to resist rust and corrosion from exposure to moisture and outdoor conditions typical of overlanding and backcountry use.
