Ruger
The Ruger ReadyDot Optic is a fiber-illuminated red dot sight engineered for fast, battery-free shooting on compatible compact handguns. Designed with the Ruger MAX-9 in mind, this reflex sight uses its fiber gathering system to provide a bright reticle in daylight conditions without relying on batteries—a real advantage for everyday carry when you don't want to fuss with power management. The 1x magnification and fixed 15 MOA red dot keep your focus on the target, and the simple, clean sight picture works well at the ranges where most EDC pistol shooting happens.
The ReadyDot mounts on standard RMSc footprints, which means it's compatible with a range of optics-ready compact pistols beyond just Ruger platforms. The fixed elevation and windage design keeps things reliable and uncomplicated—there's nothing to dial, nothing to zero once it's mounted right. The sight profile was purposefully shaped to help your eyes find the dot quickly, whether you're drawing from concealment or working from ready. If you're running suppressor-height sights on your carry gun, the ReadyDot will co-witness to them, giving you a reliable backup aiming method if the optic ever fails.
Installation is straightforward: the package includes a T10 Torx wrench and two M4x0.7 8mm mounting screws. That said, fitment and screw specs can vary between different optics-ready pistols, so verify compatibility with your firearm's manufacturer before mounting. This is a genuine Ruger factory accessory built to Ruger's standards.
