Marlin
The Marlin 1894 SBL Series in .357 Magnum is a modern lever-action rifle built for hunters and shooters who want a compact, versatile platform that delivers both accuracy and reliability. Chambered in .357 Mag/.38 Special, this 16.10-inch rifle combines classic lever-action handling with contemporary features—threaded barrel, Picatinny rail, fiber optic sighting—that let you configure it for your specific hunting or range work. At 6.3 lbs and 33.25 inches overall, the SBL (Stainless Barrel Laminate) is handy enough for close-quarters hunting in thick cover while the polished stainless steel and gray laminate stock deliver durability in wet or variable weather.
Marlin engineered this rifle for precision and longevity. The barrel is cold hammer-forged from 410 stainless steel, a process that produces ultra-consistent rifling and extends barrel life. The receiver, lever, and trigger guard are CNC-machined from 416 stainless steel forgings—no cast parts where it counts. That stainless construction means you can hunt in rain or coastal spray without worrying about rust creep. The 1/2"-28 threaded barrel ships with a match-polished thread protector and opens the door to muzzle brakes or suppressors (where legal) if you want to tailor recoil or sound signature down the road.
For sighting, you get a fiber optic front sight with tritium ring—bright in low light, visible in full sun—paired with an adjustable ghost ring rear. The top-mounted Picatinny rail means you can add a modern scope or red dot without gunsmithing. The tubular magazine holds 8 rounds of .357 Mag or 9 rounds of .38 Special, fed through a receiver-mounted loading gate. The oversized lever loop clears heavy gloves, sharp checkering grips your hand in wet conditions, and the soft-rubber buttpad tames recoil. A positive push-button cross-bolt safety and traditional half-cock hammer give you familiar, reliable operation. Sling swivel studs come standard.
This is a rifle that respects lever-action tradition while embracing the modern features serious hunters and shooters expect: stainless durability, threaded capability, accessory rails, and the ballistic versatility of dual .357/.38 Special feeding. Compact, purpose-built, and ready to work.
