Rossi
The Rossi Tuffy Turkey 20-gauge shotgun is a purpose-built single-shot that strips away complexity and cost without compromising on performance for turkey season. With a 26-inch barrel and overall length of 41 inches, this break-action 20ga delivers a compact, handheld profile that's easy to maneuver through thick cover and from a blind. The OD Green finish blends into natural surroundings while the crisp cross-bolt safety puts reliable on/off control right where your thumb expects it. Single-shot design means one clean trigger press per hunt—no distractions, no second-guessing, just commitment.
Built for hunters who value simplicity and affordability, the Tuffy Turkey keeps you focused on the bird instead of fighting the gun. A bead sight gives you a clean, instinctive sight picture suited to shotgun hunting ranges, and the 20-gauge chambering is more than adequate for turkey loads while staying lighter in the shoulder than a 12. Break-action mechanics are about as straightforward as it gets: open, load, close, shoot. Nothing to jam, nothing to over-think. It's the gun you grab when you want zero complications and maximum reliability.
Whether you're a new turkey hunter shopping for your first shotgun or an experienced caller looking for a stripped-down, lightweight backup gun, the Rossi Tuffy Turkey delivers honest performance at an honest investment. The compact 41-inch overall length and single-shot simplicity make it a natural fit for young hunters too.

Absolutely. Single-shot, break-action shotguns are excellent teaching platforms. There's nothing to fumble with, no action to manipulate between shots, and the straightforward design lets you focus on calling, concealment, and field craft rather than fighting the gun. The 20-gauge also produces less recoil than a 12-gauge, which can build confidence in younger or smaller shooters.
This is a 20-gauge shotgun, so it uses standard 20-gauge ammunition and shotgun loads. For turkey hunting, you'd typically use 20-gauge turkey loads from reputable manufacturers. Always verify ammunition type before loading.
At 41 inches overall and 26 inches of barrel, the Tuffy Turkey is notably compact compared to full-sized hunting shotguns. That short profile makes it much easier to maneuver in tight blinds, through brush, and in vehicles, and it's significantly lighter to carry during a long morning or evening hunt.
The bead sight is the industry standard on shotguns for hunting purposes. It provides a simple, fast reference point for instinctive aiming at shotgun hunting ranges. If you prefer optics, aftermarket scope mounts and red dots are available from many manufacturers for break-action shotguns, though none come factory-installed on this model.
