The Rossi R95 is a lever-action rifle chambered in .45-70 Government, built on a proven platform that's earned its place in deer camps and hunting lodges across North America. This 16.5-inch barreled version brings the classic lever gun into a more packable profile without sacrificing the stopping power hunters respect in thick cover or when pursuing larger game. If you're looking for a compact lever-action rifle in .45-70, the R95 delivers straightforward reliability and the quick-handling characteristics that make lever guns ideal for brush hunting and stand work.

The R95's shorter barrel makes it easier to maneuver through timber and in tight quarters—a real advantage over longer rifles when you're hunting from a stand or navigating wooded terrain. The 5-round capacity keeps the rifle trim while providing enough rounds for most hunting situations. Its black furniture and wood stock give it the traditional lever-gun aesthetic that hunters have relied on for generations.

Rossi lever-action rifles are known for solid construction and straightforward operation. The R95 in .45-70 Government is a no-frills, hard-working rifle for hunters who prioritize function over features.
